I want to share something real with you…
I’ve been posting on three social media platforms every day for a year, and now, I’m choosing a new rhythm.
About a year ago I set myself a challenge to see if I could post daily. I was curious about a few things:
• Could I actually post daily new content that was intentionally themed around health equity? Yes, Challenge met and I did. I also got really good at content theming and playing in Canva LOL.
• Was it true that social media preferred daily posters? Would my social media pages explode with followers simply because I posted everyday? Short answer – No. Long answer- a little more complicated and needs a longer post or Live so I can explain why I say no.
But lately, I’ve been reflecting on why I started Conscious By Us. I wanted to work a different way that focused on wellness, sustainability, and living intentionally. If I’m honest, posting every day started to feel like I was slipping back into hustle culture — the very thing I try to help people realize they are entrenched in through unhealthy systems and step away from.
So moving forward, I will be posting about three times a week instead of every day. That’s not less commitment — I am just getting back to my roots and being more in alignment with my own goals. It’s me practicing what I teach: wellness over wealth, presence over performance.

• For every dollar a man earns, Black women bring home just 64¢—a gap that translates to a lifetime loss of over $1 million in earnings.
• Black women’s unemployment rate remains at 6.3%, nearly double white men’s 3.4%, squeezing out thousands of qualified professionals.
• In 2025 alone, an estimated 300,000 Black women have lost jobs, wiping out vital income streams for families and communities.
Not to be an alarmist but when Black women lose pay or jobs, ripple effects devastate:
– Education stalled as tuition becomes unreachable.
– Preventive care delayed, driving up medical debt.
– Housing instability grows, undermining community safety.

Between 2020 and 2025, real wages for women dropped by 21% after inflation—forcing many Black women to choose between medicine, childcare, or putting food on the table.
